Curtin Society of Mechatronic Engineers

Welcome to CSME!

The Curtin Society of Mechatronic Engineers (typically abbreviated to CSME) is Curtin University's only student society solely dedicated to the field of Mechatronic Engineering.

We aim to offer student engagement beyond your studies to better acquaint you with the professional world.

You can join us through the button via QPay or in-person. To redeem Guild vouchers, or cash payments, come see us at O-Day or our next event! Otherwise, you can contact us to meet one of committee members to get it sorted out.

Keep up to date with our Facebook and Instagram! That's where most of the event postings and details will show up. We also use Discord for both a study and social space for you to ask for help with your units or just have a chat with other members! Links available under "Contact Us".

What We Do

CSME aims to connect like-minded people and better acquaint you with Mechatronic Engineering in the industry.

Whether you're a first year or preparing for your thesis presentation, there will be something to get out from our events. We deliver panels, socials, networking and workshops.

From these opportunities, we hope that you will meet someone, learn something, get somewhere or otherwise gain a new experience of value to you.

Through networking and social events, you can develop connections which may influence your pathway to getting your first job and meet new peers.

Through panels, you will learn through the discussions about the current state and trends of the industry. This will keep you informed of the skills valued by industry, possible destinations for your studies, and can also serve as conversation topics when you meet industry reps.

Through workshops, you can develop practical skills beyond what is taught in your units giving you more employability or gather a deeper understanding of how to most effectively use the tools you have access to.
